Travel Expert Stephanie Abrams and the "Travelers411" Radio Show welcome Wayne Presnell, Meteorologist, National Weather Service Marine & Coastal Services Branch, Spring, Maryland to the June 11, 2011 broadcast.
Wayne advises our radio show listeners about the dangers of rip currents. Rip currents can occur on any large body of water including large lakes. Wayne's advise to swimmers caught in a rip current is to not swim against the current which will only wear them out, but instead to swim paralell to the shore until they are out of the current and can make it back to land easily.
