Turtle Camp at Playa las Tortugas, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico

It is still Turtle Time!
We are in our last few weeks of nest gathering for the 2009 turtle season. It has been an unusual summer, we have had very little rain, so our nest count is down from last year. However we have gone over the 2,000 mark for the season!
We will continue to have turtle releases through December. If you want to visit Playa las Tortugas and the turtle camp, the busiest part of our turtle season is July through November. December through March brings the whales, and the birding in our estuary is outstanding in the winter.
