Howard's Full Bio:
I was born in Dublin not far from where the majority of the Irish Jewish Community originally lived and although my childhood home was slightly outside this area I received my main school education close to this area, which was also where my late father had a medical practise.
I was a member of the Adelaide Road Synagogue and for many years was a member of the choir there, latterly I also served on the Council of this establishment until it closed in 1999.
For many years I have taken an interest in the Irish Jewish Museum serving on a project which was run there in the early 1990’s. In more recent years I have helped manage the Museums affairs while also acting a guide and as part of the Education section I have given lectures on the Jewish religion and related subjects to the many school students who visit the Museum as part of their education.
Away from the Museum I am a keen non professional musician and have performed with a number of classical and big band groupings for many years, which gives me great pleasure.
