Jennifer Trainer Thompson is President and CEO of Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, MA, a living history museum dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Shakers. Since taking the helm in 2017, she has steadily grown attendance and programming at the museum, adding a Food for Thought dinner series with acclaimed authors, Shaker Barn Music concerts featuring rising roots music stars performing in a former hayloft, wildly popular goat yoga classes, and an emphasis on contemporary art installations with a nod to the Shaker aesthetic. Prior to her arrival at Hancock Shaker Village, she was a co-founder of MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA. During her 28-year career there, she was most recently director of development. Her debut film Museum Town, a documentary about the creation of MASS MoCA, premiered at South x Southwest in 2019 to critical acclaim.
