Susan Gordon, Board Member, Elizabeth Freement Center, Pittsfield, Massachsetts, USA.
Susan's Full Bio:
Susan Gordon was born in NYC but moved to Lee, Ma. when she was 2 weeks old.
She graduated from Tufts University with a BA in theater and went on to get a diploma from The London Cordon Blue School of Cookery.
In 1977 Susan opened Your Kitchen, a gourmet housewares store in downtown Pittsfield. Several years later, she followed your parents’ life long example of service and joined her first board of directors.
In 1987 Susan and a partner opened Bagels Too in the retail space next to Your Kitchen.
One of her proudest accomplishments is having set up Our Berkshires’ Bounty, an entirely volunteer program that collects prepared and perishable food from restaurants and stores and delivers it to Pittsfield programs that feed the hungry.
Today Susan continues to run Bagels Too and devotes most of her volunteer time to the Elizabeth Freeman Center.
