Posting messages on the Travelers411 community forums is easy but there are a few steps to get going.
1) You need to register as a user on the site.
     - Click here and follow the on-screen instructions.
     - Check your email and look for a message from Travelers411. Click the link in the email.
     - Log out of the forums.
     - Log back into the forums using your user name and password
2) Now you are ready to start a new thread or post a reply to an existing thread.
     - Let's say you want to start a brand new message in the Massachusetts forum. First, you would navigate to the Massachusetts forum by visiting the forums homepage, clicking on USA and then scrolling down and clicking on Massachusetts.
     - Next you would click the button which brings up a page with an entry area for a Title and Message.
     - When you are done writing your new message, click the button to finalize your new entry.

What is the difference between a "thread" and a "post"?
There are two types of posts you can make in the forums.  A /thread/  is a new subject or topic where as a /post/ is a particular message within a thread.

I registered a new user name in the forums but did not receive a confirmation email.
After successfully registering with the site the server will send out a confirmation email which includes a link which must be activated before your account will be enabled. If you did not receive the email, most likely it has been identified as spam by the email software being used on the user's system. First, check the spam inbox and make sure the email has not been moved there. If the confirmation email was accidentally deleted, first add travelers411.com to your email's trusted zones. Next, click here to have your confirmation email resent.

Photo Gallery Upload results in an error - Security token for this web page missing (or similar).
The most common problems with uploading photos to the Travelers411 "Members Photos" section are:
1)  File types must be .jpg only
2)  Very large uploads (5MB+) may result in a server-timeout on slower connections. 

Let's try uploading just a single .jpg photo to the site and see if that is working.  If uploading 1 image at a time works, we can then increase the number of images uploaded simultaneously.

Step 1:  Visit http://www.travelers411.com and sign in.
Step 2:  Click on the "My Photos" link on the navigation bar. 
Step 3:  Click "Create New Album" at the top right of the page to begin uploading pictures!
Step 4:  Click one of the "Browse" buttons on the page and use the file browser window that appears to select a .jpg image from the system's hard drive. 
Step 5:  Click the "Upload Pictures" button.  Depending on the file size of the image and the speed of the system's internet connection the upload may take a while.  After a successful upload, the browser should refresh the travelers411.com site and you should see a thumbnail of the image you just uploaded. 
Step 6:  If you do not see a thumbnail of the image you just uploaded or receive an error please let us know by contacting us.
Step 6a:  If you do see a thumbnail image, then click the upload pictures link to post more pictures to the new album.

How do I upload images to the Travelers411 Photo Gallery?
Step 1:  Click here to register a new user (http://www.travelers411.com/forums/register.php)
Step 2:  Check the email used during registration for a confirmation email and click the link in that email to confirm the new account.
Step 3:  Logout of Travelers411 and then log back in using the user name and password established in step 1.
Step 4:  Click on the "My Photos" link on the navigation bar. 
Step 5:  Click "Create New Album" at the top right of the page to begin uploading pictures!

The process should be a simple one, but if any errors, problems or difficulties are encountered please contact us!

What image formats and sizes can I upload to the photo gallery?
We currently only support JPG files.  We have successfully uploaded 8megabit (4272x2872) jpgs at a file size of 7MB, however, at that size, we can only upload one (1) image at a time. Uploading more images at that size simultaneously result in the server connection timing out. The issue in this case is not the number of pixels, but rather the actual file size and also the speed of the internet connection involved. Some slower internet connections may not be able to upload very large files (such as a 7MB file). We have not tested for timeout issues on slower connections, so if you encounter problems uploading please let us know.

Adding pictures to an existing photo album
1) Login to the site
2) Click the "My Photos" link on the navbar
3) Click the thumbnail for the album you want to add pictures to
4) Click the "Upload Pictures" link
5) On the next screen, click the "Browse" button to select a new image to add to your album
