This was informative. Cork airport has come on in leaps and bounds, the parking has really improved there and is very reasonably priced. They've had new branding for the last 2 years too and it's very nice,
Shannon airport (https://www.shannonairport.ie/gns/passengers/home.aspx) (what is wrong with that URL?!) has catching up to do. As its out of the way for travellers (most people go to Cork or Dublin), it should try to compete in other areas. It's tricky to find actual nice hotels near it (I'm not a fan of the one at Shannon airport). Raddison Blu is always solid (https://www.radissonblu.com), same with Carry Gerry house (https://www.carrygerryhouse.com/) or the Old Ground if you're going that far. https://www.oldgroundhotelennis.com/
Can't beat Dublin airport for location though, the bus service in and out is supreme
