Default Thread Title:  Belize citizens blocked from USA temporary visas by DHS and Trump Admin

In a surprising move today, January 18, 2018, The Department of Homeland Security and the Trump Administration has blocked the issuance of temporary agricultural and season visas for Belize Citizens.

I have visited Belize perhaps more than any other non US country and met and have close relationships with many of its people and sincerely hope that the US will reverse this latest immigration policy decision.

My impression of the political and personal feelings of Belize towards the United States is one of friendship, admiration and kinship with many households with dual citizenship family members, US expats or other close ties to the United States.

This latest move can only be designed to wound the close relationship and sentiment towards the United States from with Belize though I sincerely hope we all together can weather this storm and mitigate that harm. I also cannot see this policy shift as being helpful towards promoting safe travel for US citizens while in Belize. Stirring up anti-US sentiment through policy changes like this can only make it less safe to travel as a US citizen.

Other new additions to this list of new countries blocked from attaining Visas are Haiti and Somoa.

See this CNN story for more details: http://lite.cnn.io/en/article/h_1c15...c3fcfc4b5abc0c

Please add your comments and new information and resources as well as contact your US representatives to challenge this move.
