Hi Stephanie, Do you have any special travel advice for travel to Spain? I'm thinking about planning a trip for the summer and would like to visit Barcelona and maybe take a day trip to Toledo. Do you have any recommendations for a boutique hotel or car rental advice?

If you're looking for a modern, comfortable hotel in a great location that is reasonable and great value for the cost, try the Hotel Calderon in Barcelona. It's an easy walk to shops and sightseeing.
Barcelona is not the place you want to be to visit Toledo which you will find about an hour to 90 minutes drive from Madrid. . . which is about 2 to 3 hours drive from Barcelona. You might want to think about flying into Madrid. . . more flights there and more economical. . . spend 3 nights in Madrid. Rent a car and take a day trip to Toledo. Then drive to Barcelona, spend 3 nights and move on to other parts of Spain or Europe or fly home from Barcelona.
No matter what you do in Spain, it will be an awe-inspiring experience!
