The hotel originally opened on April 21, 1952 and was designed by Holabird, Root and Burgee Architects with funding support from Alumnus Ernest M. Morris and his wife Ella L. Morris. The Morris Inn is located in the heart of Notre Dame's Campus.

Hi, I am one of the many seniors from Webber Township High School that went on the lovely trip to Branson, Missouri. Thank you so much! It was very kind of you to do that for us. That was the nicest hotel I have ever been to! I loved all what you planned for us. It was my first time going to Branson and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the greatest time. Once again thank you very much for the wonderful memory that I will forever remember.
