I've been a huge JT fan since we both had a full head of hair...many years ago. I'm a singer guitarist, and play gigs locally for fun and pocket money. JT covers are always the crowd favorite. Here's my story:
After 15 years of struggling to pay for tuition bills, mine (mid life career change!) and my daughters, everything was about to get easy. I've got a career I love. In April my daughter married a wounderful young man, and three weeks ago she graduated from medical school. I was on top on the world.
Then on June 2nd I was diagnosed with throat cancer. I'm optimistic, and should do OK, but this summers going to be tough. So far the plan looks like chemotherapy and radiation. I'll be pretty run down, and the radiation is likely to make me temporarily lose my voice, so my summer gigs aren't likely to happen.
Cancer sucks. I could use a little James Taylor for a cheer up.
I'm nearby in Albany, so travel isn't a problem.
Thanks
Brian
